Roma! There’s nothing quite like the visit in Rome. While Thessaloniki’s ruins lace the city, Rome has preserved their structures well by using them as museums, active churches, and hang-out sites.
Most of the modern architecture has been modeled to coordinate their basilicas and structures.
First stop– pizza and gelato! It is of the Bacaling family tradition to sneak away and buy ice cream.
We got our cousin JB to show us the ropes– roman style! Rachel has not seen him in about 9 years and it was such a joy for Nash to meet him.
Our first day was a tad overwhelming as well as tiring, so we got a preview of the city center and drove back to the community that housed us for the next 5 days. <3
